Laura Salomone’s work crosses disciplines, but primary involves paper collage, drawing and the re-assembling of discarded materials.
The starting point was the careful selection and curation of discarded materials that she collected over the years, mainly books, old papers and other found objects.
Influenced by mid-century art and design, arts and crafts, and abstract art, she finds inspiration in objects that are no longer in use.
Her artistic output manifests as low-relief assemblages, striking a delicate balance between sensitivity and nostalgia. For her, the creative process is far from linear, instead, it unfolds as an intuitive puzzle, with compositions buildings, shedding, and then building again.
Each artwork stands as a testament to Laura’s artistic vision and her ability to breathe new life into forgotten materials.
Her pieces serve as a statement on the potential of discarded objects to once again become something meaningful. They undrescore the importance of reclamation and reimagining in a world flooded with waste, offering a powerfull commentary in sustainability and creativity.
Used creatively and layered together, Laura’s opened herself to re-imagine a new meaning to old narratives and creating a brighter, more sustainable future through art.

Born in Buenos Aires, Laura Salomone is a visual artist based in Berlin since 2018.
She studied Fine Arts in Buenos Aires, where she also built a career in the film industry as a set decorator. In Berlin she furthered her studies in product Design.
Through her life, she has lived in Spain, Buenos Aires, and the Argentine Patagonia. She currently resides and works in Berlin.
